LAST OF THE LAST DAYS Screening May 10th (10 a.m. to Noon block)

at the Stronger Than Fiction Film Festival, Missouri Theatre

Last of the Last Days is my debut film about how generations choose whether or not to reaffirm the beliefs they have been taught, and the result of those betrayals.

I left the truth, otherwise known as the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses, when I was 17. Three years later, my mom gave me an ultimatum: "return to Jehovah" or never see her again. Since I had been baptized at 15, it is highly scrutinized within the organization to not follow through with a decision of dedicating your life to the truth, in some cases this leads to being shunned by those within the faith. After six years of minimal communication with my mom, she reached out offering to send hundreds of photos, 12 VHS tapes and various misfit items from my childhood. This film will use those materials along with narration of letters to reconstruct and examine what has been lost since. Watch the teaser
